Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold an Alabama license in a behavioral health field (e.g., professional counselor, social worker, or equivalent).
• Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, psychiatric nursing or related field.
• Minimum of five years’ prevention and treatment experience; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery and documentation of clinical services for program clients and ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct admissions evaluations and monitor adherence to admission/readmission policies.
• Ensure quality and appropriateness of clinical services within the Level 1 Outpatient Substance Abuse Program.
• Provide annual trainings for program staff as required by governing bodies.
• Conduct comprehensive intake interviews and prepare detailed intake reports.
• Develop and conduct treatment activities aligned with each client’s plan and coping goals.
• Lead individual and group counseling and related recreational activities matching client needs.
• Deliver educational lectures and audiovisual programs on drug addiction and recovery.
• Coordinate referrals for employment, vocational training, legal services, medical care, and related supports.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to maintain program operations and compliance.
