SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Senior Pharmacist / Retail-Outpatient Pharmacy Manager to oversee outpatient and specialty pharmacy services. The role focuses on strategic leadership, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship to improve patient access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required; NY State Pharmacist Licensure.
• Immunization Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 5+ years as a registered pharmacist in outpatient, retail, or specialty pharmacy.

Responsabilités

• Oversee outpatient pharmacy operations including Meds-2-Beds services.
• Ensure compliance with 340B guidelines and best practices.
• Supervise staff pharmacists and resolve escalated clinical communications and patient complaints.
• Manage relationships with local healthcare facilities, clinics, and professional organizations.
• Counsel patients on medication use, safety, interactions, and policy adherence.
• Perform medication order entry, compounding, and dispensing for outpatient and ambulatory care.
• Participate in outpatient pharmacy on-call rotation.
