Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is seeking a PRN caregiver to support a high-volume outpatient specialty fulfillment pharmacy. You will review patient charts, fill and verify prescriptions, manage inventory and coordinate shipments to patients, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

A successful candidate typically holds a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, active RPh licensure or eligibility within 90 days, and BLS certification; immunization training may be required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required with licensure or eligibility within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification and immunization administration training within 90 days if applicable.
• Preferred PGY1/residency or related post-graduate experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy services and ensure appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Contribute to medication safety initiatives.
• Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
• Be accountable for drug use policy adherence.

Education

PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pharmacy

Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross

Immunizations certification within 90 days of hire

Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1) or relevant post-graduate experience
