Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. seeks an Outpatient Clinical Social Worker to provide direct care in a psychiatric hospital outpatient setting. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, help develop interdisciplinary treatment plans, and support discharge and aftercare planning.

You will facilitate group therapy, assist patients and families with psychotherapeutic needs, and ensure compliance with quality care and regulatory standards. The role is based at the Carson Outpatient Facility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field.
• California Board of Behavioral Sciences licensure (LCSW/MFT) or registered intern required; licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities

This Outpatient Clinical Social Worker provides direct care to patients in a psychiatric hospital outpatient setting. The Clinical Social Worker delivers exceptional patient care through performing psychosocial assessments, developing interdisciplinary treatment plans, facilitating group therapy sessions, and executing discharge as well as aftercare planning. The Clinical Social Worker assists patients and their families through the use of psychotherapeutic skills to understand, identify and resolve complex problems resulting from psychiatric illnesses while ensuring compliance with quality patient care and regulatory standards. The Clinical Social Worker provides in‑person and or virtual programming as determined by the needs of the program.

The Outpatient Clinical Social Worker position will be housed out of the Carson Outpatient Facility, located at 16920 Avalon Blvd, Carson, CA, 90746.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field. Licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, MFT or Registered Associate/Intern preferred; Licensure or Registration required.
