Job summary

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a Registered Nurse for Outpatient Services to join an in-person team on a Monday through Friday schedule. You will deliver direct patient care in a supportive outpatient setting, following the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality care close to home.

You'll perform plan-of-care interventions, document care, monitor patient status, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current VA or compact state nursing license.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire; BLS anticipated at hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions and administers medications.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with care team.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers and discharges.
• Delivers age- and culture-appropriate patient education.
• Advocates for patient well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and ongoing education.
