U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Outpatient Staff Registered Nurse (RN) at the Freeport VA Clinic in Freeport, IL.

The role focuses on evidence-based outpatient care, supervising licensed nursing staff, and leading nursing education, orientation, and competency development. The RN will participate in quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultations, while fulfilling a dual role as Primary Care Clinic RN and Care Manager to coordinate longitudinal care for Veterans.

Formación

• English language proficiency required.
• Nursing program must be ACEN or CCNE accredited.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a US state or territory.
• Foreign nursing education requires degree equivalency validation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides evidence-based outpatient nursing care and oversees LPNs/LNAs as appropriate.
• Directs nursing education, orientation, and competency development.
• Contributes to quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultations.
• Performs dual role as Primary Care Clinic RN and Care Manager for Veterans.
• Provides direct patient care and longitudinal care coordination for Veterans.
