Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for outpatient, full-time daytime shifts. The role includes preparing, administering and monitoring respiratory therapies, ventilator support, spirometry and bronchoscopy assistance, with collaboration across the care team.

Candidates must be RRT and RCP licensed in Texas, BLS and ACLS; one year of experience is preferred. Strong communication and patient-focused care are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
• One year experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care to include but not limited to arterial blood gas and analysis, pulse oximetry, spirometry and flow volume loops, lung volume determination, airway resistance measurement, breath diffusion capacity, bronchodilator administration, diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Prepares, administers and monitors treatment modalities and medication delivery. Implements, monitors and evaluates ventilator support.
