Job summary

UTMB Health in Webster, TX seeks a Rehabilitation Aide - Outpatient to support licensed therapists in patient care within the Therapy Services department. This casual appointment covers about 20 hours per week, providing flexible exposure to outpatient rehabilitation settings.

Under direct supervision, you will assist with treatment, transfer patients, manage supplies, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Experience in a rehabilitation environment or related education preferred.
• Current CPR certification from an AHA-approved course provider.

Responsibilities

• Transfers and transports patients safely.
• Assist under supervision with direct patient care relative to patient’s age, culture, and condition.
• Communicate with therapists, assistants, students, customers, volunteers and other aides to maintain workflow.
• Maintain linen, disinfect equipment, sterilize equipment, and track reusable supplies.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Receives, distributes, and restocks supplies.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Files, answers and makes telephone calls, performs departmental copying.
