Job summary

A leading medical education institution in Webster, Texas, is seeking a rehabilitation aide to assist licensed therapists and occupational therapy assistants in providing excellent patient care. The role entails patient transfers, maintenance of equipment, and communication with healthcare team members. No prior experience is required, although experience in a rehabilitation context and current CPR certification are preferred. Job Duties

• Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner
• While under direct supervision of the treating therapist, the rehabilitation aide will assist with direct patient care relative to patient’s age, culture, and condition
• Communicates verbally and in written form with therapists, assistants, students, customers, volunteers and other aides to maintain efficient workflow.
• Maintains linen, disinfects equipment, sterilizes equipment, and tracks reusable supplies.
• Maintains clean working environment.
• Receives, distributes, and restocks supplies.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Files, answers and makes telephone calls, performs departmental copying.
