Job summary

Duke Outpatient Clinic seeks to hire Registered Nurses who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together. We provide services for adults 18+, including chronic conditions; same-day appointments for acute care. Address: Duke Health North Durham, 4220 N Roxboro St, Durham, NC 27704.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in North Carolina.
Nurses with a BSN should be enrolled in BSN program within two years and finish within seven years.
Must obtain North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of start date if licensed via compact.
BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients and families.
Plan, provide and document professional nursing care in ambulatory settings under physician orders.
Communicate clearly with patients, families and healthcare team.
Collect and analyze patient data to inform care plans and actions.
Teach patients and families as per the nursing plan of care.
Assist other nursing staff and lead teams as needed.
Maintain environment of care, equipment, and resources.
