Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated team member to support the medical office by accurately and timely processing outpatient referrals and authorizations. This role focuses on financial clearing, insurance verification, and maintaining detailed documentation within the EMR system.

Primary duties include obtaining necessary authorizations, communicating with patients and providers about coverage, and ensuring smooth inter-departmental coordination in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 2-5 yrs healthcare experience in lieu of education requirements.
• Minimum of six months of progressive work experience.
• Strong communication, ability to operate computer and software applications, and attention to detail managing multiple priorities and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Financially clear outpatient referrals as ordered by the referring provider.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Obtain authorization when necessary.
• Communicate with providers and staff about denials and coverage.
• Document and scan all communication into referral and EMR; maintain inter-departmental communication.
