Job summary

HSHS St. John’s Rehabilitation Services in the Greater Springfield area is seeking Physical Therapist Assistants to join our outpatient team.

PTAs work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver individualized care, implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and educate patients and families. We welcome candidates with interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, pelvic health, vestibular, neurological rehab, oncology, lymphedema, hand therapy, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate (e.g., Associate) from an accredited PTA program meeting licensure requirements.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• Board Certification which meets rigorous standards of maintenance or certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• PTAs work under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide individualized patient care and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support outpatient services growth.
