Job summary

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Springfield, IL, seeks a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient acute care team on a PRN basis.

You will implement therapy plans, monitor patient progress, document care, and communicate results to the supervising Physical Therapist while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote safe mobility and independence. Ideal candidates hold an accredited PTA degree, state licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program meeting licensure requirements.
• Current state licensure or eligibility required.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under supervision of a PT.
• Monitor patient progress and document care.
• Communicate patient responses to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team and participate in professional development.
