Job summary

Children's Wisconsin in Mequon, WI is seeking an Outpatient PT/OT Rehab Assistant (casual/part-time) to support patient care, prepare treatment supplies, and help with rooming, check-out, and scheduling.

You will help maintain a clean, safe treatment area, manage inventory and communications, and ensure confidentiality. High school diploma or GED, pediatric healthcare experience preferred, and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED preferred.
• Experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care as directed by the clinician, including preparing supplies and materials for treatment sessions and assisting when patients have physical, communication, or behavioral needs.
• Assist with rooming, in-clinic check out and scheduling to enhance patient experience.
• Monitor the daily schedule: manage appointments, no-shows, cancellations, bump lists, and wait-listed patients.
• Inventory, order and ensure adequate supplies and equipment; stock department rooms.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe treatment environment and ensure proper storage of supplies.
• Clean treatment areas, equipment and materials after sessions; ensure expiration dates and temperatures are managed.
• Greet patients and families with confidentiality and privacy; support clinic operations and telephone documentation.

Orders supplies for routine care as requested by clinicians and leaders. Stocks department rooms.* Maintains a clean, organized and safe environment within all treatment areas. Ensures that hallways are free of equipment and supplies. Ensures that supplies are stored in compliance with the Joint Commission standards.* Cleans treatment areas, equipment, and treatment materials/toys after each session in collaboration with therapists.* Ensures compliance of expiration dates and refrigerator temperatures and takes action to remedy the situation if needed.* Responsible for working with clinical engineering department at maintaining missing equipment report.* Collects and ensures delivery of instruments and equipment to sterile processing or food services department.* Greets patient and family in a welcoming manner, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.* Manages telephone calls and documents information appropriately as needed to support the Clinic Coordinator and clinic operations.**Education:*** High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) preferred.**Experience:*** Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred or relevant education. **Licenses and Certifications:*** BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required**Schedule:*** This position is as needed, with the expectation of working 2 Saturdays per month in our Mequon clinic.* Mequon Clinic Address: 1655 W Mequon Rd, Mequon, WI 53092Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
