Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy in Cookeville, TN is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will provide evidence-based care, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, and contribute to a culture of compassionate service.

This full-time role requires TN licensure and CAPTE-accredited training, with mentoring, ongoing education, and opportunities for specialization.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Current TN Physical Therapist licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Basic PC skills including EMR, database software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions under supervision of a PT, including modalities and therapeutic exercises.
• Record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts.
• Report patient status to physicians; measure ROM, strength, and vital signs as needed.
• Instruct patients and families on assistive devices and home exercise techniques.
• Provide guidance to PTAssistant, students and technicians.
• Ensure proficiency in physical therapy principles and techniques.
• Maintain TN licensure and certification requirements.
