Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL, seeks an Outpatient Physical Therapist to join the Henderson Building team in a full-time capacity. This role focuses on evaluating and treating patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance functional outcomes within an evidence-based care framework.

The therapist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensure accurate documentation, and mentor students after one year.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice.
• Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
• Coordinates patient care with other clinical team members ensuring optimal patient care and communication as noted in the clinical record.
• Educates the patient/caregivers in treatment and care to engage patient in being an active participant in continuing activities at home.
• Completes all required paperwork following Physical Therapy department policies and procedures to ensure that documentation reflects care provided and the outcomes achieved as evidenced in the clinical record.
• Monitors and evaluates outcomes related to the assessment and plan of care.
• Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in Physical Therapy.
• Maintains current certification/license. Monitors the treatment activities of PTA's and aides.
• After one year of experience, may act as student supervisor.
• Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
