Job summary

Htprof is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist to join their team in Cayuga, NY. The role focuses on delivering high-quality rehabilitation in a supportive outpatient setting, with a broad mix of patient needs and an emphasis on hands-on care and patient education.

The ideal candidate holds a DPT, is eligible for NY licensure, and can obtain BLS within 90 days. The position offers a full-time schedule in a family-friendly Finger Lakes region.

Qualifications

• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in state or eligibility at hire.
• DPT or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients and team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to treat orthopedic, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted and more with help.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapies including exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and patient education.
• Educate patients on exercise programs, posture, and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team for comprehensive care.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to meet goals.
• Document plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries per policy.
• Provide patient education to empower self-management of rehabilitation.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized environment following infection control.
