Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is hiring a Physical Therapist to identify patient goals, create treatment plans, and deliver manual therapy and modalities. You will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, document care, and coordinate discharge planning with families and physicians.

The role requires NYS PT licensure and CPR certification, with potential local travel to support outpatient needs at multiple sites. This full-time position offers growth within a patient-centered care team.

Competenze

• Education: accredited physical therapy program; may be Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate level
• Must complete yearly safety in‑services and Healthstream e‑Learning Courses
• Licensure: Current NYS Physical Therapy license
• Current CPR Certification
• Experience: Prior experience preferred

Mansioni

• Identifying patient’s goals and needs; develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription
• Administers manual therapy and guides patients in therapeutic exercises and use of assistive devices
• Administers physical therapy modalities (traction, ultrasound, electrical stimulation) for pain control and functional improvements
• Evaluates progress and adjusts treatment plans; documents care and charges in EMR
• Completes discharge planning with patient, family, and physicians
• Designs home exercise programs and provides caregiver instructions for continued care
• Supports outpatient needs with local travel as required by department
