Job summary

Carroll Counseling, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Mount Airy, MD team. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, manage medications, and maintain EMR documentation, while contributing to online profile development and patient growth strategies.

Qualifications

• MD/DO license to practice psychiatry in MD (active, unrestricted).
• Board certification in psychiatry by ABPN is required or active.
• Active DEA registration and ability to work on-site 3–4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based tools and guidelines to diagnose mental health conditions and set treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications per protocols; monitor efficacy and side effects.
