Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full Time Outpatient Psychiatrist to provide care for client employees and dependents at our Health Center in Orlando, FL. The role offers a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package and a focus on work-life balance.

The ideal candidate holds a Medical Degree (MD/DO) with an unrestricted license, ABPN board certification, prescriptive authority, and DEA. At least three years of post-residency experience in ambulatory settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted license in the state providing care
• ABPN board certification appropriate for population served
• State prescriptive authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license
• State narcotic/licensed if required
• CPR Certification
• CAMS certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Minimum three years post-residency clinical experience as a psychiatrist in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or ED

Responsibilities

• Performs examinations and care measures for client employees and dependents within established guidelines
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify clinical problems
• Records findings and formulates plan and prognosis in the EMR
• Collaborates with medical and behavioral health professionals to deliver a comprehensive care plan
• Provides medication initiation, titration, and management as part of the care team
• Refers patients to specialized resources as indicated
• Interacts with members to help define goals and plan actions for development and adjustment

What You'll Do

• Performs examinations and care measures for patient population covered by the client contract andwithin prescribed guidelinesthe providers’ scope of practice.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborates with/refers to medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and other health professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
• Provides medication initiation, titration, and management for members as appropriate as part of the care team.
• Refers patients to specialized health resources for treatment as indicated.
• Interacts with members to assist in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

What You'll Bring

• Medical Degree
• MD or DO with unrestricted license in the State providing care or supervision/collaborative practice agreements.
• Board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) appropriate for the population served (i.e., adult, adolescent, or pediatric patients).
• State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state
• CPR Certification
• Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS – care) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• At least three years of post-residency clinical experience as a psychiatrist in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department setting.
