Job summary

Premise Health is hiring an Associate Medical Director for our Orlando Health Center. You will oversee clinical operations, supervise Advanced Practice Providers, and lead patient care across preventive, occupational and primary services.

The role requires MD license in applicable states and board certification/eligibility, with strong leadership and EMR experience. Clinic hours are 7A–7P weekdays and 8A–6P weekends; full-time schedule with competitive benefits, mentoring, and opportunities to

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice medicine in each state of practice/oversight.
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice/oversight).
  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state.
  • Current board certificate (ABMS, AMA or AOA) or board eligibility; sit for boards within 1 year of hire.
  • CPR (BLS/ACLS) with hands-on skills verification; must meet AHA standards.
  • 3+ years of practice in family medicine, emergency medicine, primary care, occupational medicine, or related field.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills; confident with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct histories, physical exams and prescribe medical treatment.
  • Provide a spectrum of health care services including episodic, preventive, occupational and primary care as needed.
  • Assist Medical Director in leading a single site.
  • Participate in developing annual health center goals and objectives.
  • Drive site outcomes across clinical programs; help develop clinical/administrative policies.
  • May meet with prospective physician/provider candidates to assess clinical quality and cultural fit; mentor site physicians.
  • Partner with Medical, Operations and Site teams to drive member engagement and utilization.
  • Demonstrate clinical subject matter expertise for services at the health center.
  • May serve as collaborative physician for advanced practice providers.
  • Perform other duties to ensure safe, effective operation and high-quality care.

As a Full Time Associate Medical Director, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents of all ages along with clinical supervision of Advanced Practice Providers in our Health Center located in Orlando, FL. The scheduled hours are 40 hours per week. Clinic hours are 7A-7P Monday-Friday and 8AM-6PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

What You'll Do
  • Conducts histories, physical exams and prescribes medical treatment.
  • Provides a spectrum of high-quality, person-focused, and often comprehensive health care services that may include episodic, preventive, occupational and/or primary health care to patients depending on the needs of the client.
  • Assists Medical Director in leading a single site.
  • Participates in the development of annual health center goals and objectives.
  • Drives outcomes for site across clinical programs Participate in the development of policies and guidelines (clinical and administrative) to correct and improve service to the client/account.
  • May meet with prospective physician and provider candidates to support assessment of clinical quality and cultural fit. May be requested to teach/train precepts and provide mentoring to site physicians and staff providers
  • Partners with the Premise Health Medical, Operations, and Site teams to drive member engagement and increase utilization
  • Demonstrates clinical subject matter expertise appropriate to the services rendered at the health center.
  • May serve as collaborative physician for advanced practice providers.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the safe and effective operation and function of the heath center(s), business, and to ensure that services meet standards of high-quality, cost-effective care.
What You'll Bring
  • Licensed to practice medicine in each state of practice/oversite
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice/oversite)
  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state
  • Current board certificate (ABMS, AMA or AOA) or board eligibility must sit for boards with 1 year of hire
  • CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer or ACLS-the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
  • 3 + years of practice in family medicine, emergency medicine, primary care, occupational medicine, or other relevant clinical field
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, confident in all settings with individuals at all levels of the organization both internal and external
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records strongly preferred.
