The candidate should have a master’s degree in social work or related field and 2+ years of psychiatric experience, with supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling; LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT/MSW or Psychologist preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric treatment, with at least 1 year in supervision.
• Experience with chronically mentally ill adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, supervision and disciplinary action for outpatient program staff.
• Coordinate with management to adhere to regulatory standards and facility goals.
• Arrange and monitor staff continuing education and competency.
• Oversee Utilization Review and performance improvement in the outpatient setting.
• Educate staff on age/disability/cultural sensitivity and monitor compliance.
• Communicate with patients and families in appropriate age/disability related manner.
• Lead treatment planning, discharge planning and support groups as needed.
• Participate in outpatient marketing events and related activities.
