Job summary

Oceans Healthcare in Norman, OK seeks a Director of Outpatient Services to lead the outpatient programs, coordinate with the DON and inpatient director, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations.

The role includes supervising staff, developing clinical programming, coordinating staff education, overseeing discharge planning, and contributing to financial and quality metrics within a state-of-the-art behavioral health facility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling preferred, including LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric treatment, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with chronically mentally ill, adult and geriatric populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong writing ability.
• Ability to organize and prioritize high-volume workload and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, supervision, monitoring and disciplinary action for all staff of the Outpatient Program.
• Cooperates with management to develop, formulate, implement, and revise clinical programming proposals while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Provides, coordinates and monitors in-service opportunities for staff continuing education.
• Supervises utilization review and performance improvement in the outpatient setting.
• Provides and monitors compliance plans with age/disability/cultural sensitivity considerations.
• Conducts discharge planning and facilitates support groups to meet patient and family needs.
• Works with facility administrator to achieve financial goals and manage expenses and revenue.
• Provides and solicits facility performance information in writing and orally.
