Job summary

United Counseling Service of Bennington County in Vermont is seeking an Outpatient Manager to lead the SUD/TCM programs, supervising clinicians, coordinators, and case managers to ensure accessible, timely community services.

The role emphasizes program administration, supervision, and clinical leadership while advancing outreach and compliance with quality standards. A strong background in mental health and substance use treatment is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related counseling field.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Licensed in Vermont to provide substance use disorder treatment.
• Three years of experience in related crisis, mental health, substance use, emergency services, or community mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively manages program requirements and activities, oversees daily workflow, and tracks KPIs and staff performance.
• Provides direct supervision for all program staff, including time sheet review, supervision meetings, and staff performance reviews.
• Provides assessment, individual and group therapy to those with mental illness and/or substance use disorder, coordinating with partners and referrals.
• Develops and implements community programs to meet needs and liaises with statewide and community agencies.
• Maintains timely and thorough clinical documentation and client records.
