The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks Registered Nurse - Outpatient Primary Care PACT (Intermittent) for the VA Clinic in Portland, ME. These positions offer flexible hours with varying weekly schedules.

You will provide direct and indirect nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, educate Veterans and their families, and document in the electronic health record. Compliance with VA standards and licensure requirements is required.

Qualificações

• English proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE.
• Eligible for state licensure upon graduation and temporary appointment where applicable.
• Current, full, active, unrestricted RN registration in US state/territory.
• Reference VA Handbook 5005 Appendix G6 and GNT exception note for foreign graduates.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect patient care per established nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor patient responses.
• Educate Veterans and families on health conditions, medications, treatment plans, and self-care.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records (EHR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and continuous professional development.
