Job summary

Indiana Health Centers, Inc. (IHC) in Kokomo is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient care for patients of all ages, supported by a collaborative team and an integrated behavioral health program.

The role offers 35 patient hours and 5 administrative hours per week, with no weekends and a flexible schedule, plus generous PTO and a comprehensive benefits package that supports professional growth and NHSC loan repayment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Training and experience in PMHNP specialty.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of behavioral concepts, specialty treatment and community resources.
• Must maintain continuing medical education requirements for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and assessments appropriate for patient’s age, establishing data base and medical history.
• Diagnosing illnesses and establishing acceptable plans of management under supervision of and in consultation with supervising physicians.
• Providing counseling and patient education for preventive care, medications, and basic nutrition.
• Attend and participate in clinic staff meetings.
• Assist, participate and/or conduct other clinic-related projects and programs with the approval of the Site Medical Director.
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA standards for medical care providers.
