Job summary

Software Placement Group seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support its outpatient therapy team in Montour Falls, NY. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain function, mobility, and independence through individualized treatment plans.

The role requires an Associate's degree in PTA, NY PTA license or eligibility, CPR, and annual safety trainings. On-site, full-time with some travel and a compensation range of $25.00–$32.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program (Associate's degree).
• Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Annual mandatory safety trainings/HealthStream courses.
• Travel may be required to support outpatient therapy needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct and assist patients with therapeutic exercises and gait/balance activities.
• Assist with use of assistive devices.
• Apply modalities per PT instructions.
• Document patient responses and progress in the EMR.
• Communicate progress to the Physical Therapist and adjust plans as needed.
• Support discharge planning and home exercise program education.
