Qualifications

• Accredited PTA program completed.
• Current licensure as PTA in the United States.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and PT modalities.
• Ability to follow treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists.
• Physical capability to lift and carry patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises with proper technique and safety.
• Monitor and document patient progress for the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment following universal precautions and infection control.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide education and support.
• Handle equipment setup and assist with lifting or transferring patients in outpatient settings.
• Participate in administrative tasks related to patient care documentation.
