Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) is seeking a Physical Therapist for outpatient rehabilitation, working under the Facility Manager to deliver high-quality care with a collaborative physician team.

The role focuses on initial evaluations, planning and executing treatment, and ongoing documentation while maintaining compliance. IBJI offers a base salary with bonuses, CEU opportunities, mentoring, and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds.
• Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting.
• Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes.
• Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional patient care.
• Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals.
• Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care.
• Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab.
• Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up.
• Supervision of Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care as needed.
• Compliance with daily paperwork and timely documentation in patient charts.
• Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices.
• Maintains active state license by earning CEUs through outside courses and IBJI opportunities.
• Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI.
• Active role in patient care team: office visits with physicians and case managers.
