The Physical Therapist at Brown University Health works within Brown University Health to examine patients, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized plans of care for rehabilitation. Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in state in which they practice is required.
• Graduates awaiting examination may practice under a GPT license in Rhode Island or a temporary Physical Therapy license in Massachusetts.
• Active BLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Examines and evaluates patients.
• Establishes diagnosis, prognosis, and individualized plans of care.
• Implements treatment interventions based on plan of care.
• Directs and coordinates patients' rehabilitation plan of care.
• Evaluates patients' progress and revises goals and plan of care accordingly.
• Educates/trains patients/caregivers.
• Anticipates and communicates discharge/home needs and resources.
• Completes documentation and charges accurately and timely, in compliance with department policy.
• Completes clinical documentation reflecting eligibility/medical necessity of services.
• Makes recommendations and referrals for additional diagnostic testing and/or services.
• Applies evidence-based practice to all aspects of clinical care.
• Seeks additional guidance when necessary to assure safe and effective patient care.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Master or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred)

Active Physical Therapist license

Graduate Physical Therapist (GPT) license / temporary license options

Active BLS certification
