Job summary

Inova Physical Therapy in Northern Virginia seeks Outpatient Physical Therapists to join our clinics. We offer a 1:1 patient treatment model, mentorship, continued education, and a strong benefits package with competitive compensation.

Openings exist for full-time, part-time and PRN, with day shifts and some evenings. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Physical Therapy, Virginia license or compact privileges, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctorate/Bachelor in Physical Therapy? (minimum stated is Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy).
• Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start.
• BLS certification required upon start.
• New grad welcome.

Responsibilities

• Document results of evaluations clearly and completely.
• Complete daily progress notes reflecting treatment response and discharge needs.
• Complete discharge notes with summary and follow-up recommendations.
• Document clearly within established timeframes.
• Document patient and family education.
• Communicate with families, physicians and healthcare team members as needed.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Inova Physical Therapy is seeking Outpatient Physical Therapists to join our clinics with locations across Northern Virginia! We have openings for Full-time, Part-time and PRN, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with some evening shifts until 7pm. Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities

• Documents the results of evaluations clearly and completely by including all essential elements according to department policy.
• Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance, and an assessment as to status relevant to the treatment plan in addition to eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.
• Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.
• Documents clearly, concisely and legibly within established timeframes (e.g. allows other therapists to continue treatment, allows for interpretation by payers, supports reimbursements).
• Documents evidence of patient and family/caregiver education.
• Contacts families, physicians or other healthcare team members in anticipation of special needs of the patients or families in a timely manner to facilitate effective treatment plans.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
