Job summary

Wabash General Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for our outpatient team. You will assess and diagnose mobility issues, design individualized plans combining manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to accelerate recovery and wellness.

You will collaborate with clinicians, document progress, and educate patients and families throughout treatment. The role also supports community health outreach and preventive care initiatives in the region.

Qualifications

• Licensed in good standing by the state of Illinois as a physical therapist.
• Graduated from an APTA-approved physical therapy curriculum.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to perform essential function per job description and PT practice act.
• Position requires continual physical activity including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose through comprehensive orthopedic and musculoskeletal evaluations.
• Design and deliver individualized treatment plans with manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.
• Restore mobility, maintain strength, and prevent reinjury or chronic disability.
• Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, rehab staff, physicians; document progress clearly and educate patients and families.
• Lead outreach and wellness education to promote outpatient services and preventive care strategies.
