Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive care for patients with impairments related to chronic bleeding disorders at the Frazier Rehab Institute - UMC.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, and direct interventions, with emphasis on patient and family education. Requires Kentucky licensure, BLS certification, and a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible in Kentucky is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• BLS accreditation by the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients while upholding boundaries.
• Perform evaluations to develop treatment plans with measurable goals and provide direct intervention or supervise care.
• Administer therapeutic procedures (exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, gait, massage, manual therapy, orthotic fitting and training, dynamic activities).
• Utilize equipment and modalities appropriate for bleeding disorder patients.
• Educate patients and families about interventions, disease, safety, and wellness.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and multidisciplinary plans.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy

Licensed or eligible in the Commonwealth of Kentucky

Basic Life Support (BLS) accreditation by the American Heart Association
