Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Georgia is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement rehabilitation programs that improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance strength. You will work with physicians to develop care plans and discharge goals while ensuring high-quality, compliant care.

Responsibilities include designing treatment plans, educating patients and families, documenting sessions, and supporting staff with rehabilitation resources.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required or equivalent.
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians to develop, evaluate, and update treatment programs, care plans, goals, and discharge plans based on the patient’s physical therapy needs.
  • Create and adjust care plans with input from the patient and/or family.
  • Develop realistic discharge plans incorporating patient and family goals.
  • Implement and adjust physical therapy treatment plans.
  • Select appropriate activities to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Revise goals and plans with input from patients and families.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to patients and families.
  • Give discharge instructions and referrals to community resources as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and each session according to departmental guidelines.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation, including family education and discharge information.
  • Uphold ethical standards and demonstrate integrity and honesty.
  • Embrace diversity and collaborate effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and dress code policies, including wearing an ID badge.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all team members.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and other required activities.
  • Organize workload to meet responsibilities timely and safely.
  • Use materials and equipment safely and cost-effectively.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols.
  • Lead with vision, technology, innovation, and excellent customer service.
  • Make a positive impact on employees and patients.
  • Apply AIDET principles consistently.
  • Foster a positive environment and teamwork, treating everyone with respect.
  • Implement service recovery principles as needed.
  • Engage in professional development and mandatory education.
  • Complete core and annual competencies on time.
  • Meet all educational requirements to maintain licensure.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new employees.
  • Fulfill all mandatory hospital and system requirements.
