Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with impairments to maximize function. You will design individualized plans and educate patients and families to promote health and wellness.

The role requires a DPT/degree, BLS, and a PA or NJ PT license. Outpatient experience and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team are essential; supervision of PT/PTA students may be involved.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree, Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent; required upon hire or within 30 days.
• Current Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, based on work location.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive initial evaluations to identify functional deficits and develops a treatment plan to improve movement, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.
• Provides skilled interventions tailored to patient needs using appropriate techniques, modalities and equipment.
• Collaborates with patients to create short- and long-term goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and other health care providers, ensuring confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
• Monitors and documents patient progress and outcomes; adjusts plans as needed.
