Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• State licensure in MD, DC, or VA as applicable for location.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for patient care activities under supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Manages scheduling and ensures access to care with empathy in a consumer-driven environment.
• Performs discharge planning, follow-up care, and equipment needs in collaboration with supervising therapist.
• Recognizes changes in patient condition and contributes to treatment plan modifications with the licensed therapist.
• Pursues continuing education and serves as a clinical instructor to students as appropriate.
