Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (Outpatient) to join Therapy - Brandywine. The PTA will provide therapy services, training, and equipment recommendations under a licensed PT's supervision in accordance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• An associate degree as a PTA is required.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as applicable.
• American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for patient care activities under supervision of licensed PT.
• Manages an accurate schedule and supports frictionless access to care.
• Completes discharge planning and equipment needs in collaboration with supervising PT.
• Provides patient treatment services within the treatment plan’s limits under supervision.
• Serves as a clinical instructor for assigned students when appropriate.

MD/DC/VA licensure (as applicable)
