Job summary

Patriot Outpatient Therapy in Ohio is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN) to provide patient services under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist in outpatient settings, including ALF buildings. This per diem position offers unit-based pay, mileage reimbursement, and a 401k with 4% matching; flexible scheduling and community-focused teamwork are emphasized.

Candidates must graduate from an approved PTA program, be licensed in the state, have a current CPR (BLS) certificate,

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an approved PTA program.
• Must be licensed by the State as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Must have a criminal background check.
• Must have a current CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (PT), provide patient services which have been delegated by the PT.
• Under the supervision of the PT, assist in evaluation and development of a rehabilitative plan of care and in periodic re-evaluation as required.
• Participate in the preparation of clinical and daily progress notes.
• Assume other duties deemed appropriate and necessary by the PT.

Job Conditions:

• The ability to drive
• Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform patient care
• On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
