Job summary

Patriot Outpatient Therapy in Akron, OH is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN) to work in outpatient settings within ALF buildings. The PTA will provide patient services under PT supervision, assist in developing care plans, and contribute to progress notes.

• Must be graduate of an approved school.
• Must be licensed by the State as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Must have a criminal background check.
• Must have a current CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (PT), provide patient services delegated by the PT.
• Under the supervision of the PT, assist in evaluation and development of a rehabilitative plan of care and periodic re-evaluation as required.
• Participate in the preparation of clinical and daily progress notes.
• Assume other duties deemed appropriate and necessary by the PT.

• Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform patient care
• On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
