Job summary

Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (Outpatient) to join our per diem clinic in Denton, Texas. Under the supervision of a licensed PT, you will support the therapy plan of care and contribute to patient progress in neurology, orthopedics, and related fields.

Responsibilities include assisting with plan implementation, delegating tasks to aides, communicating with the supervising PT, and participating in patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Preferred candidate has one or more years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, to enhance patient care services.
• Communicates with supervising PT regarding schedule and needs for assessment, reassessment, and modification of treatment plans.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties within the scope of practice.
