Job summary

Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton in Denton, Texas is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient services on a per diem schedule. The role supports the therapy plan under a licensed PT, coordinating with staff and participating in patient and family education to promote recovery and function.

The position requires current PTA licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification. Prior experience is preferred, with orientation to ensure a smooth transition into our inpatient rehab

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of the therapy plan of care under direct supervision of a licensed PT.
• Delegate and coordinate supportive personnel to enhance patient care.
• Communicate with supervising PT regarding patient scheduling, assessment needs and plan modification.
• Participate in education of patients, families, students and coworkers.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice.

• Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.

Minimum Qualifications
