Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Inc in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement therapy programs, follow recovery plans, and deliver treatments. You will work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to restore function and improve patient outcomes.

You will document patient progress, administer therapeutic exercises and modalities, and help patients regain mobility and independence in daily activities, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant or ability to obtain it in Virginia.
• CPR certification and outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Document daily notes, reports, and incident documentation.
• Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Assist with traction to relieve neck and back pain.
• Instruct and assist patients in improving functional activities such as ambulation and daily living tasks.
• Collaborate with PT staff to plan and coordinate treatment programs.
