Riverside Therapy Group is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist to join their outpatient team at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA.

Provide rehabilitative care on the Middle Peninsula as part of our clinical team.

Overview

A Physical Therapist develops individualized programs for patients with health conditions to improve their quality of life and achieve functional goals. The role may involve inpatient and outpatient settings, under supervision of Rehab Services management, collaborating with other health professionals.

What You Will Do

1. Perform evaluations, establish diagnoses, and develop care plans. Conduct physical therapy procedures to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disabilities.
2. Assess patients promptly based on practice guidelines, evidence-based practices, and regulatory standards.
3. Build collaborative relationships with a multidisciplinary team and participate in team meetings.
4. Support training of team members, volunteers, and students.
5. Implement and modify treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes and meet discharge criteria. Document patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
6. Use testing results to update care plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
7. Educate patients and families about recovery processes.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (Required)

Experience

• 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Physical Therapy License - Virginia Department of Health Professions (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - AHA/ARC/Other (Required within 30 days)
