Job summary

Bournewood Health Systems – Brookline & Woburn, MA seeks an experienced, independently licensed clinician to lead all outpatient PHP operations across our Brookline and Woburn sites. The Director of Outpatient Services will guide clinical and administrative staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop partnerships to support growth and recovery‑oriented care.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in a human services field, Massachusetts licensure (LICSW or LMHC preferred), and at least

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a human services field.
• Independent clinical licensure in Massachusetts (LICSW or LMHC preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive behavioral health leadership, with at least 3 years in PHP/IOP leadership.
• Experience managing interdisciplinary teams and complex PHP/IOP operations.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and managed care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day PHP operations at Brookline and Woburn locations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff; ensure ongoing professional development and evaluations.
• Oversee clinical supervision including interns and partnerships with academic programs.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered treatment.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and payer requirements; monitor utilization reviews.
