Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform venipuncture, capillary puncture and specimen processing.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Label, process and dispatch specimens to testing locations.
• Verify accuracy and quality of specimens collected.
• Train others in phlebotomy techniques.
• Enter test requisitions and assist patient registration and accessioning.
