Qualifications

• Completion of high school degree.
• State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License IN HAND AT SUBMISSION.
• Completion of training competencies.
• Computer keyboard proficient.
• Ability to read and understand medical terms.
• Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical mathematics calculations.
• Skill with small objects (needles, syringes, ampules).
• Ability to use mechanical system for transfer of fluids.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Ability to establish priorities in workflow.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work under supervision of diverse Pharmacists.
• Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals and noise.
• Understand hazardous vs non-hazardous medications per regulatory guidelines.
• Flexibility in shift times.
• Accountability for accuracy in duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare unit doses and assist pharmacists with dispensing.
