Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for the Outpatient Department: Retail Rx. This role supports medication preparation and distribution under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and documentation, aligned with Ohio Board of Pharmacy rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18.
• Registered or eligible for pharmacy technician registration in Ohio.
• Pharmacy Technician Trainees must submit documentation to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy at least 10 business days before start date.
• Must obtain Registered Pharmacy Technician status within 1.5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support medication preparation and distribution under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain safety in medication handling.
• Assist in inventory management, documentation, and storage standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure efficient operations.
