Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado is launching a new outpatient pharmacy. We are seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, build workflows, and ensure safe, patient-centered care.

You will collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist patients throughout their care journey in a retail-like pharmacy setting with a strong emphasis on patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Ensures supervision/verification by the pharmacist and maintains accuracy.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances as required.
• Communicates with caregivers and supports quality and patient safety initiatives.
