Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a PRN/Flexi Pharmacy Technician for the outpatient pharmacy. Location is Woodbridge, VA under Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center; flexi/PRN with rotating shifts, 9am–7pm, weekdays and no weekend shifts.

You must hold Va. Pharmacy Tech License and a CPhT credential; one year experience preferred. Base pay ranges from $23.50 to $36.36 per hour with potential shift pay and bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician license required in Virginia (CPhT preference).
• One year pharmacy tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in dispensing under supervision.
• Fill and deliver medications under supervision.
• Ensure adequate pharmacy supplies for patient care.
• Triage questions outside scope to pharmacist.
• Operate pharmacy equipment and processes in compliance with laws.

Sentara is hiring a PRN/Flexi Pharmacy Technician for our brand new Outpatient Pharmacy at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA.

Location: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center - Woodbridge, VA

Status: Flexi/PRN

Shift/Hours: Rotating PRN

Open 9am-7pm Monday through Friday

Closed Weekends and Major Holidays

Job Responsibilities

• The Pharmacy Technician performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.50 - $36.36 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
