Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching an outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, and seeks a motivated Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to join the team.

This PRN role supports daily operations, helps establish workflows, and collaborates with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions and coordinate medication access. Ideal candidates have retail pharmacy experience and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Lapses may result in disciplinary action including termination.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform necessary calculations.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist; understand when verification is needed.
• Fill and monitor medication supplies, including controlled substances and 340B/Charging management.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
